As you venture deeper into the world of Survivors, you may find yourself encountering various quests that require your attention. One crucial aspect to understand about these quests is their relationship with colony size. In general, larger colonies will lead to more challenging and rewarding quests. This is due in part to the raid points mechanic used to determine quest size.

With the Royalty DLC active, you can expect to receive two new quests every 12-day interval. Without this DLC, you'll get one new quest every 10 days, resulting in a maximum wait time of up to 19.9 days between quests. Some quests, such as the beggars' quest, will be accepted automatically.

The three endgame quests – Ship to the Stars, Royal Ascent, and Archonexus – can be completed at any time. When it comes to quest timers, there are two important types: the first timer, which is the limit for accepting a quest, and the second timer, which represents either the time to complete a quest or how long it lasts.

If you fail to accept a quest within its acceptance window, it will be rejected. Quests can also be 'trashed' by clicking on the trash can icon, but this action is purely visual and can be reversed.

Some quests have specific requirements for acceptance, while others have time limits for completing the task. Most quests are offered by factions, but they can also come from individual pawns or unaligned AI entities. By understanding these nuances, you'll be better equipped to navigate the world of Survivors and complete the quests that lie within.
